I took a test drive with my wife. The iX3 40 — we found the driving feel, whether in town, on country roads or on the autobahn at 202 km/h, excellent. The steering was great and the assistance very unobtrusive. It felt very secure to drive. The interior, even in the rear, is huge. It felt perfect for us right away. We chose the sports seats, which we knew from my 5 Series — the comfort seats didn’t hold us firmly enough. My six‑cylinder petrol 5 Series is relatively quiet, but in the electric car the only noise is wind.

Beautiful car, robust, comfortable, luxurious and very fast for an SUV.

I rented an ID4 and wasn’t satisfied with the driving quality and the fit and finish.
But above all, noises and drafts that are unacceptable in a car at this price.

I also have an Audi Q6 Sportback at home.
When it comes to quality, handling and suspension, I think the BMW i5 (I have the xDrive 40) is two classes higher.
Both cars are new, and the Audi has already spent a total of four weeks in the service.

I've been driving an X3 30e for a year. Vibration problems that BMW can't resolve and ultimately considers everything normal, even though an independent assessment says otherwise.
Too firm despite the adaptive suspension (20-inch wheels).
Excessive road/rolling noise.
Finish and presentation quality deplorable for a vehicle at this price.
The personal assistant is less effective than on my previous X3 (G01).

I think the car looks great and is cheaper than Mercedes Benz.

2 Series Active Tourer

Mild hybrid in terms of mileage. It’s an excellent car. Smooth, quiet, pleasant to drive. Petrol consumption 2.9 L/100 km. Powerful — lets you overtake quickly without taking risks. One notable drawback: the navigation isn’t as accurate as Waze and takes a long time to search for addresses.

Intuitive to operate, excellent tactile feel, high seating position. More range or a larger battery would be desirable, but that would be nitpicking at the highest level.
