It competes on price and cheaper servicing, but well‑equipped examples also offer plenty of comfort.

That's just a Passat. Too expensive in my opinion, but it's up to each person to decide whether to throw their money into VW's maw. The car itself is somehow a legend.

The electric drivetrain pays off, especially in turbulent times like these. EVs have left their teething problems behind and now also offer good range.

In terms of interior space and driving, the T‑Cross is far superior.

It really is the Swiss Army knife. Six people on holiday at a summer cottage including all their luggage. Or how about four people in the car plus a dishwasher standing in as baggage. Or five people, two of them in child seats plus two strollers in the back. And it's also super comfortable on long trips. You sit well and it has a nice interior. Today there's nothing comparable that can replace it. Oh, and it actually does the 16–17 km/l it's rated for.

A really lovely car with space for a wheelchair and much more, which we've had for almost 14 years and driven over 200,000 km with. Now the gearbox has failed and we'd like to buy a new one.

ID.3 catches less wind. It's more pleasant, especially on the highway. Also: more economical, lighter and with the same step‑in height.

Top suspension, performance more than adequate, trunk gigantic, and the Matrix headlights are great.
