Costs and Efficiency:

Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

Aiways U5 is barely cheaper – starting at 33,900 £ , while the MG MG4 costs 36,800 £ . That’s a price difference of around 2,933 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the MG MG4 is very slightly more efficient: consuming 16.1 kWh/100km compared to 16.6 kWh/100km for the Aiways U5. That’s a difference of about 0.5 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the MG MG4 offers markedly more range – reaching up to 545 km, about 135 km more than the Aiways U5.

Top car — 3.5 YEARS and 95,000 km and I haven't regretted it! Also, it only cost €33,000 in 2022 with the subsidy, and the ID.4 was totally bare‑bones.

The MG4 seems more versatile to me than the Dolphin, which relies mainly on design. The MG4 has proven itself and remains an excellent used option with low mileage.
