Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

MG MG5 is somewhat cheaper – starting at 30,400 £ , while the Aiways U5 costs 33,900 £ . That’s a price difference of around 3,495 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Aiways U5 is only slightly more efficient: consuming 16.6 kWh/100km compared to 17.5 kWh/100km for the MG MG5. That’s a difference of about 0.9 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the Aiways U5 offers only slightly more range – reaching up to 410 km, about 10 km more than the MG MG5.

Top car — 3.5 YEARS and 95,000 km and I haven't regretted it! Also, it only cost €33,000 in 2022 with the subsidy, and the ID.4 was totally bare‑bones.
