Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

MG MG5 is clearly cheaper – starting at 30,400 £ , while the XPeng G6 costs 37,400 £ . That’s a price difference of around 6,951 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the XPeng G6 is only slightly more efficient: consuming 17.3 kWh/100km compared to 17.5 kWh/100km for the MG MG5. That’s a difference of about 0.2 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the XPeng G6 offers markedly more range – reaching up to 525 km, about 125 km more than the MG MG5.
