Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

MG Marvel R is significantly cheaper – starting at 40,300 £ , while the Lexus RX costs 63,300 £ . That’s a price difference of around 23,023 £.

As for electric range, the MG Marvel R offers considerably more range – reaching up to 402 km, about 335 km more than the Lexus RX.

Nice-handling SUV. Steers much more sharply than my previous SUV, a Lynk & Co 01. Has almost the same options as the Lynk. I wanted fully electric, though. The Marvel has a realistic range. So far it has never shown the WLTP figure of 402. But whatever it shows, it achieves. And I've experienced that very differently before (Lynk & Co 01 and Mazda MX-30). In short, a very good, comfortable EV. Downsides: abrupt steering corrections and annoying warning beeps. These can be switched off, but you have to do it every time. It's also a shame that the otherwise great navigation has no Dutch voice.
