Price and efficiency are key factors when choosing a car – and this is often where the real differences emerge.

BYD Atto 2 is very slightly cheaper – starting at 27,400 £ , while the Mazda CX-5 costs 30,000 £ . That’s a price difference of around 2,571 £.

Power, torque and acceleration are the classic benchmarks for car enthusiasts – and here, some clear differences start to show.

When it comes to engine power, the BYD Atto 2 offers visibly more power – delivering 212 HP compared to 141 HP. That’s roughly 71 HP more horsepower.

I've done 6,000 km and I'm delighted. I haven't tried other EVs, but I'm thrilled with the BYD Atto 2. It's true I don't go on long trips — I do everything in the city and nearby, about 100 to 150 km a day — and honestly it's been great in every way. When I hit 300,000 km I'll tell you again. Haha
