Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

BYD Atto 2 is significantly cheaper – starting at 27,400 £ , while the Mercedes GLB costs 43,200 £ . That’s a price difference of around 15,777 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Mercedes GLB is only slightly more efficient: consuming 15.4 kWh/100km compared to 15.8 kWh/100km for the BYD Atto 2. That’s a difference of about 0.4 kWh/100km.

I've done 6,000 km and I'm delighted. I haven't tried other EVs, but I'm thrilled with the BYD Atto 2. It's true I don't go on long trips — I do everything in the city and nearby, about 100 to 150 km a day — and honestly it's been great in every way. When I hit 300,000 km I'll tell you again. Haha
