Power, torque and acceleration are the classic benchmarks for car enthusiasts – and here, some clear differences start to show.

When it comes to engine power, the Abarth 600 offers a bit more power – delivering 280 HP compared to 235 HP. That’s roughly 45 HP more horsepower.

When accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h, the Abarth 600 is very slightly quicker – completing the sprint in 5.9 s, while the Subaru BRZ takes 6.3 s. That’s about 0.4 s quicker.

Both the Alpine A290 and Abarth 600e are fun cars - the first EVs to be properly engaging to drive. Despite the list price being significantly higher (but still below the critical £40k!), the Abarth is MUCH cheaper to lease... which makes the choice something of a no brainer in terms of value for money.
