Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

Polestar 2 is markedly cheaper – starting at 45,200 £ , while the Volvo V90 costs 62,300 £ . That’s a price difference of around 17,143 £.

As for electric range, the Polestar 2 offers clearly more range – reaching up to 659 km, about 571 km more than the Volvo V90.

Engine and Performance:

Power, torque and acceleration are the classic benchmarks for car enthusiasts – and here, some clear differences start to show.

When it comes to engine power, the Polestar 2 offers barely more power – delivering 476 HP compared to 455 HP. That’s roughly 21 HP more horsepower.

The Volvo V90 is the heir to the traditional "manor Volvo" and a concept in itself in terms of space and driving feel. My choice would be the V90, because it's a good dog car. I'd prefer the AWD Cross Country, as it would give me ground clearance for country roads and a higher driving position.
