Price and efficiency are key factors when choosing a car – and this is often where the real differences emerge.

Tesla Model Y is noticeably cheaper – starting at 34,300 £ , while the Polestar 2 costs 42,000 £ . That’s a price difference of around 7,714 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Tesla Model Y is moderately more efficient: consuming 13.1 kWh/100km compared to 14.8 kWh/100km for the Polestar 2. That’s a difference of about 1.7 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the Polestar 2 offers marginally more range – reaching up to 659 km, about 37 km more than the Tesla Model Y.
