Very nice smooth riding car

I drove the Mercedes EQS and the Xpeng G9 Performance. The Xpeng is an ultra-modern, voice-controlled car with excellent build quality, a superior sound system and air suspension. I now understand why VW invested €700 million to buy a 5% stake in Xpeng. VW cars in China now run on Xpeng technology.

I've seen and driven both cars. The XPeng 9 makes more of an impression. The Zeekr 7x's interior color is limited to black — a real shame! For a nicer contrast you'll have to have it wrapped in a different color. But that's a matter of taste! Otherwise the cars are comparable, noting that the XPeng is a proper SUV while the Zeekr 7x is a crossover.

After 30,000 km I'm still as thrilled as on day one. (G9 AWD) Lots of driving fun, space and comfort, new features via software updates, low running costs, fast charging. Negatives are the voice control and the annoying driver-assist systems, which thankfully can be switched off, as well as the poor control of the ventilation in the second row.
