Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

BMW 1 Series is clearly cheaper – starting at 29,400 £ , while the Volvo S60 costs 42,500 £ . That’s a price difference of around 13,157 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the Volvo S60 uses 0.7 L/100km and is substantially more efficient than the BMW 1 Series with 4.3 L/100km. The difference is about 3.6 L/100km.
