Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

Mercedes B Class is markedly cheaper – starting at 33,100 £ , while the BMW X2 costs 41,200 £ . That’s a price difference of around 8,099 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the Mercedes B Class uses 2.5 L/100km and is substantially more efficient than the BMW X2 with 4.5 L/100km. The difference is about 2 L/100km.

My wife and I have been driving a Mercedes W247 200d for seven years now, with 93,000 km on the clock. The car is very comfortable even on long trips and economical. At the last service the pads of the electric parking brake were replaced; otherwise no repairs. We love this car.
