Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

BMW XM is somewhat cheaper – starting at 116,100 £ , while the Mercedes GLE costs 136,500 £ . That’s a price difference of around 20,344 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the Mercedes GLE uses 3.8 L/100km and is markedly more efficient than the BMW XM with 4.7 L/100km. The difference is about 0.9 L/100km.
