Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

BYD Atto 2 is clearly cheaper – starting at 30,800 £ , while the Lynk & Co 08 costs 48,000 £ . That’s a price difference of around 17,147 £.

As for electric range, the BYD Atto 2 offers considerably more range – reaching up to 430 km, about 230 km more than the Lynk & Co 08.

Under the bonnet, it becomes clear which model is tuned for sportiness and which one takes the lead when you hit the accelerator.

I've done 6,000 km and I'm delighted. I haven't tried other EVs, but I'm thrilled with the BYD Atto 2. It's true I don't go on long trips — I do everything in the city and nearby, about 100 to 150 km a day — and honestly it's been great in every way. When I hit 300,000 km I'll tell you again. Haha
