Price and efficiency are key factors when choosing a car – and this is often where the real differences emerge.

VW ID.7 is clearly cheaper – starting at 46,400 £ , while the Lucid Gravity costs 85,600 £ . That’s a price difference of around 39,253 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the VW ID.7 is visibly more efficient: consuming 13.6 kWh/100km compared to 18.2 kWh/100km for the Lucid Gravity. That’s a difference of about 4.6 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the Lucid Gravity offers marginally more range – reaching up to 748 km, about 40 km more than the VW ID.7.

The Smart attracts with its power and charging. I ended up choosing the ID7, though. The decision was influenced by it being European and by my three years' experience with the ID4. The ID4 has been an excellent vehicle.

Range is completely wrong compared to what’s shown. In reality you can only rely on about 60% of the distance. The boot only opens for whoever has the key? That’s a massive headache for my work.

It is a super comfortable car with a charging from 10-80% in less than 20 minutes. This car is also a very economic car as it is fully electric.
