Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

smart #5 is considerably cheaper – starting at 39,300 £ , while the Mercedes EQS costs 80,900 £ . That’s a price difference of around 41,574 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Mercedes EQS is slightly more efficient: consuming 15.5 kWh/100km compared to 18.4 kWh/100km for the smart #5. That’s a difference of about 2.9 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the Mercedes EQS offers clearly more range – reaching up to 920 km, about 330 km more than the smart #5.
