Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

VW ID.7 is substantially cheaper – starting at 46,400 £ , while the Mercedes SL Class costs 112,700 £ . That’s a price difference of around 66,329 £.

As for electric range, the VW ID.7 offers significantly more range – reaching up to 708 km, about 696 km more than the Mercedes SL Class.

Range is completely wrong compared to what’s shown. In reality you can only rely on about 60% of the distance. The boot only opens for whoever has the key? That’s a massive headache for my work.
