When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

BYD Atto 2 is only slightly cheaper – starting at 27,400 £ , while the Vauxhall Astra costs 28,300 £ . That’s a price difference of around 857 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Vauxhall Astra is marginally more efficient: consuming 15.3 kWh/100km compared to 15.8 kWh/100km for the BYD Atto 2. That’s a difference of about 0.5 kWh/100km.

I've done 6,000 km and I'm delighted. I haven't tried other EVs, but I'm thrilled with the BYD Atto 2. It's true I don't go on long trips — I do everything in the city and nearby, about 100 to 150 km a day — and honestly it's been great in every way. When I hit 300,000 km I'll tell you again. Haha
