Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

smart #3 is markedly cheaper – starting at 34,700 £ , while the Polestar 2 costs 42,000 £ . That’s a price difference of around 7,286 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Polestar 2 is somewhat more efficient: consuming 14.8 kWh/100km compared to 16.3 kWh/100km for the smart #3. That’s a difference of about 1.5 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the Polestar 2 offers clearly more range – reaching up to 659 km, about 204 km more than the smart #3.
