Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

VinFast VF 6 is barely cheaper – starting at 30,000 £ , while the BYD Atto 2 costs 30,800 £ . That’s a price difference of around 857 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the BYD Atto 2 is clearly more efficient: consuming 15.8 kWh/100km compared to 19.5 kWh/100km for the VinFast VF 6. That’s a difference of about 3.7 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the BYD Atto 2 offers barely more range – reaching up to 430 km, about 20 km more than the VinFast VF 6.

I've done 6,000 km and I'm delighted. I haven't tried other EVs, but I'm thrilled with the BYD Atto 2. It's true I don't go on long trips — I do everything in the city and nearby, about 100 to 150 km a day — and honestly it's been great in every way. When I hit 300,000 km I'll tell you again. Haha
