When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

ZEEKR 7GT is markedly cheaper – starting at 41,100 £ , while the Volvo V60 costs 51,400 £ . That’s a price difference of around 10,286 £.

As for electric range, the ZEEKR 7GT offers considerably more range – reaching up to 655 km, about 556 km more than the Volvo V60.

Under the bonnet, it becomes clear which model is tuned for sportiness and which one takes the lead when you hit the accelerator.

I drive a V60 T6 TE e‑AWD Inscription MY 2022

Overall I'm very satisfied with it.

Positives +
+ Safety
+ Performance
+ Fuel consumption
+ Service and running costs
+ Driving feel (still has a bit of the Swedish tank about it)
+ Average consumption 5.2 l/100 km

Negatives -
- 180 km/h limiter, supposedly due to excessive centrifugal forces on the electric motor
- Thinner side windows than the predecessor
- Still very firm suspension
- 8‑speed automatic (feels like the car is always shifting)
- Volvo's own customer service has massively deteriorated in recent years (their new motto seems to be "take it or leave it")

As a long‑time Volvo customer, this will be my last Volvo — I'm not willing to go along with the (now purely electric and largely China‑produced) madness.

ZEEKR 7GT

The Zeekr 7 GT stakes its claim as a smartly styled, quietly confident grand tourer that mixes comfort with a sporty edge to keep daily drives interesting. I think it’s a car that sits really well on the road and feels a bit like an Opel. The build quality is also really good.

SUV — good off‑road, but makes no sense for urban driving, neither for efficiency nor for feel.
Hatchbacks give a modest boost in practicality over a traditional sedan while keeping a true sense of driving, rather than “riding” the car like you do in an SUV.
Granted, the SUV is a clear winner on those days when my back hurts and lowering myself into the driver’s seat is a problem.
