Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

Isuzu D-Max is clearly cheaper – starting at 35,900 £ , while the VW Crafter costs 47,100 £ . That’s a price difference of around 11,219 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the VW Crafter uses 8.4 L/100km and is marginally more efficient than the Isuzu D-Max with 8.6 L/100km. The difference is about 0.2 L/100km.

Excellent truck, the Isuzu D-Max 3.0... less blah, blah, blah and more economy, better engine and robustness, and more comfort when driving

The whole "Toyotized" marketing thing is another story; it's a good vehicle, but it's given more fame than it deserves — very bouncy, unstable, I almost rolled one of them

I've had a Hilux 3.0, then a Mazda BT-50 2.2, but now an Isuzu D-Max 3.0... marketing won't fool me — body quality has dropped, electrical systems have many problems, and Toyotas have become more disposable in my view and according to five workshops I consulted... nothing like the Toyotas from 2015
