Costs and Efficiency:

Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

VW Golf is moderately cheaper – starting at 28,300 £ , while the MG MGS5 EV costs 32,600 £ . That’s a price difference of around 4,281 £.

As for electric range, the MG MGS5 EV offers considerably more range – reaching up to 480 km, about 337 km more than the VW Golf.

Power, torque and acceleration are the classic benchmarks for car enthusiasts – and here, some clear differences start to show.

We have recently moved from an ID3 to and MGS5. For me, the S5 feels a decent upgrade. The build quality really surprised me, especially in the cabin. the drive is also reassuringly solid, and in my opinion better than the ID3. the MGS5 is slightly quicker, but not too much that it is noticeable, and also more practical due to it's size.
Gone are my days of thinking MG was now just a cheap Chinese alternative. Go and test drive one, you'll see!
