Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

VinFast VF 8 is somewhat cheaper – starting at 41,600 £ , while the VW ID.7 costs 46,400 £ . That’s a price difference of around 4,813 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the VW ID.7 is substantially more efficient: consuming 13.6 kWh/100km compared to 21.9 kWh/100km for the VinFast VF 8. That’s a difference of about 8.3 kWh/100km.

Range is completely wrong compared to what’s shown. In reality you can only rely on about 60% of the distance. The boot only opens for whoever has the key? That’s a massive headache for my work.
