I've been driving a second-hand Touareg R-Line 2019 3.0 TFSI for 2 years — original price CHF 128,000, fully loaded. 2025: replacement engine by AMAG. Ride comfort perfect; infotainment adequate; a bit thirsty; prestige perfect (understated).

Brilliant car. Had 3 since 2005. Can't fault them. Would have purchased another, but after visiting local dealership, vehicle was being used by Sales Manager and it was in a d disgraceful condition. So purchased BME X6

Impeccable road-holding, especially if you choose optional extras like air suspension, active anti-roll bars and rear-wheel steering. Fast, quiet and comfortable.

I've been driving a Touareg 3.0 TDI with 286 PS, model year 2019, for 5 years.
So far no problems. Zero repairs.
Air suspension is top.
Driving feel is great.
Fuel consumption is also excellent for a vehicle of this weight (7.5 liters on average).
In my opinion the car is highly recommendable. That's why 5 stars!

1) I trust the electric technology of the MAXUS more than the hybrid mechanics of the PEUGEOT.
2) If you compare the electric version of the Peugeot with the MAXUS, the Maxus clearly wins. It weighs 400 kg less than the PEUGEOT — which translates to carrying over 900 kg more — and it wears less, even down to the brake pads, than the Peugeot.
I'm thinking of buying a used MAXUS (the short one). I saw this week that there are loads of them four years old with under 30,000 km for €14,000, and they still have three or four years of manufacturer warranty left.
