Costs and Efficiency:

Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

BMW X5 is very slightly cheaper – starting at 77,600 £ , while the Mercedes GLE costs 78,900 £ . That’s a price difference of around 1,341 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the BMW X5 uses 3 L/100km and is marginally more efficient than the Mercedes GLE with 3.2 L/100km. The difference is about 0.2 L/100km.

As for electric range, the BMW X5 offers very slightly more range – reaching up to 105 km, about 1 km more than the Mercedes GLE.

Mercedes is completely superior to Volvo, which feels plasticky and noisy with poor fit and finish, a poor tactile feel in the controls and a lack of buttons.
