Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

BMW X5 is clearly cheaper – starting at 77,100 £ , while the Mercedes GLE costs 136,500 £ . That’s a price difference of around 59,429 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the BMW X5 uses 3 L/100km and is clearly more efficient than the Mercedes GLE with 3.8 L/100km. The difference is about 0.8 L/100km.
