Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

BYD Seal U is visibly cheaper – starting at 34,300 £ , while the XPeng P7 costs 42,500 £ . That’s a price difference of around 8,237 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the BYD Seal U is markedly more efficient: consuming 12.1 kWh/100km compared to 16.8 kWh/100km for the XPeng P7. That’s a difference of about 4.7 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the XPeng P7 offers moderately more range – reaching up to 576 km, about 76 km more than the BYD Seal U.
