VW Passat is substantially cheaper – starting at 36,500 £ , while the Lexus RC costs 82,300 £ . That’s a price difference of around 45,866 £.

That's just a Passat. Too expensive in my opinion, but it's up to each person to decide whether to throw their money into VW's maw. The car itself is somehow a legend.
