Costs and Efficiency:

Price and efficiency are key factors when choosing a car – and this is often where the real differences emerge.

BYD Atto 2 is considerably cheaper – starting at 30,800 £ , while the Lucid Air costs 72,900 £ . That’s a price difference of around 42,009 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Lucid Air is markedly more efficient: consuming 13 kWh/100km compared to 15.8 kWh/100km for the BYD Atto 2. That’s a difference of about 2.8 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the Lucid Air offers substantially more range – reaching up to 882 km, about 452 km more than the BYD Atto 2.

The review contains an error: the price of the Lucid Air being evaluated corresponds to a version that accelerates from 0–100 km/h in around 4.7 seconds, which is slower than the MG Cyberster. The sub-2-second acceleration figures refer to the Lucid Air Sapphire, which is the most expensive version with a much higher price.

I've done 6,000 km and I'm delighted. I haven't tried other EVs, but I'm thrilled with the BYD Atto 2. It's true I don't go on long trips — I do everything in the city and nearby, about 100 to 150 km a day — and honestly it's been great in every way. When I hit 300,000 km I'll tell you again. Haha
