Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

MINI Countryman is significantly cheaper – starting at 30,100 £ , while the Mercedes GLE costs 78,900 £ . That’s a price difference of around 48,827 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the Mercedes GLE uses 3.2 L/100km and is substantially more efficient than the MINI Countryman with 5.9 L/100km. The difference is about 2.7 L/100km.

Mercedes is completely superior to Volvo, which feels plasticky and noisy with poor fit and finish, a poor tactile feel in the controls and a lack of buttons.
