Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

MINI Countryman is clearly cheaper – starting at 30,100 £ , while the VW Passat costs 36,500 £ . That’s a price difference of around 6,377 £.

That's just a Passat. Too expensive in my opinion, but it's up to each person to decide whether to throw their money into VW's maw. The car itself is somehow a legend.
