Price and efficiency are key factors when choosing a car – and this is often where the real differences emerge.

BYD Atto 2 is clearly cheaper – starting at 27,400 £ , while the Voyah Free costs 51,400 £ . That’s a price difference of around 24,000 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the BYD Atto 2 is markedly more efficient: consuming 15.8 kWh/100km compared to 20.2 kWh/100km for the Voyah Free. That’s a difference of about 4.4 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the Voyah Free offers slightly more range – reaching up to 500 km, about 70 km more than the BYD Atto 2.

The car is technologically state-of-the-art: luxury seats that ventilate, heat and even massage for driver and passenger, a large boot and strong visual impact. It delivers assisted parking with camera support, adaptive cruise with steering stabilizer, voice controls and the ability to connect to countless apps like YouTube. The passenger can enjoy the onboard TV, which with a simple digital touch can be moved to the center of the cabin. It offers a 500 km range and a petrol engine. Two electric motors produce 500 hp and sprint from 0–100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. There are many other features too: pedestrian detection, drowsiness recognition, a panoramic roof, a stereo sound system with subwoofer—nothing is missing, not even a refrigerated glovebox with active air conditioning for drinks or snacks.

I've done 6,000 km and I'm delighted. I haven't tried other EVs, but I'm thrilled with the BYD Atto 2. It's true I don't go on long trips — I do everything in the city and nearby, about 100 to 150 km a day — and honestly it's been great in every way. When I hit 300,000 km I'll tell you again. Haha
