Passat

Costs and Efficiency:

When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

VW Passat is clearly cheaper – starting at 36,500 £ , while the Peugeot 508 costs 44,600 £ . That’s a price difference of around 8,109 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the VW Passat uses 1.2 L/100km and is visibly more efficient than the Peugeot 508 with 1.6 L/100km. The difference is about 0.4 L/100km.

As for electric range, the VW Passat offers considerably more range – reaching up to 135 km, about 80 km more than the Peugeot 508.

That's just a Passat. Too expensive in my opinion, but it's up to each person to decide whether to throw their money into VW's maw. The car itself is somehow a legend.

I've had the 225 Hybrid GT for two years. Super car if you have, say, solar panels on the roof and charge from a socket — with a 10–15 km commute you drive on electricity for next to nothing. On the motorway at 140 km/h it uses about 6.0–6.3 l/100 km, superb comfort and quietness — and that stylish look!!!
