Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

BYD Sealion 7 is only slightly cheaper – starting at 42,800 £ , while the Audi Q5 costs 46,400 £ . That’s a price difference of around 3,523 £.

As for electric range, the BYD Sealion 7 offers significantly more range – reaching up to 502 km, about 402 km more than the Audi Q5.

BYD — to Romania, in my area I have to recharge 5 times.
Audi Q5 — to the same place I refuel only 2 times.
At the end of the merry-go-round, if diesel doesn’t rise again, I can say I travel with peace of mind in the Audi — both on price and comfort 😆😆😆. If I switch on the air conditioning in the BYD, I’m totally screwed; for 1,350 km I’d need solar panels just to keep costs down.
But if I only drive around the city and do short runs, all praise to BYD.

range that I can always charge to 100% — unlike other brands that told me it was recommended to stop at 80%, which consequently cut my real range from 600 to 480 by not being able to charge to 100%. I think that's something people should know.
