Q8 e-tron

Costs and Efficiency:

Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

XPeng G9 is noticeably cheaper – starting at 51,100 £ , while the Audi Q8 e-tron costs 65,100 £ . That’s a price difference of around 13,972 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the XPeng G9 is only slightly more efficient: consuming 18.4 kWh/100km compared to 19.7 kWh/100km for the Audi Q8 e-tron. That’s a difference of about 1.3 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the Audi Q8 e-tron offers very slightly more range – reaching up to 595 km, about 10 km more than the XPeng G9.

I drove the Mercedes EQS and the Xpeng G9 Performance. The Xpeng is an ultra-modern, voice-controlled car with excellent build quality, a superior sound system and air suspension. I now understand why VW invested €700 million to buy a 5% stake in Xpeng. VW cars in China now run on Xpeng technology.

I've seen and driven both cars. The XPeng 9 makes more of an impression. The Zeekr 7x's interior color is limited to black — a real shame! For a nicer contrast you'll have to have it wrapped in a different color. But that's a matter of taste! Otherwise the cars are comparable, noting that the XPeng is a proper SUV while the Zeekr 7x is a crossover.
