Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

MG MG4 is considerably cheaper – starting at 36,800 £ , while the BMW i5 costs 60,800 £ . That’s a price difference of around 23,923 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the BMW i5 is very slightly more efficient: consuming 14.7 kWh/100km compared to 16.1 kWh/100km for the MG MG4. That’s a difference of about 1.4 kWh/100km.

The MG4 seems more versatile to me than the Dolphin, which relies mainly on design. The MG4 has proven itself and remains an excellent used option with low mileage.
