Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

MG ZS is considerably cheaper – starting at 18,000 £ , while the Mercedes G-Class costs 106,600 £ . That’s a price difference of around 88,599 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the MG ZS uses 5.1 L/100km and is substantially more efficient than the Mercedes G-Class with 8.7 L/100km. The difference is about 3.6 L/100km.

With all the features it offers at that price, the MG has no competition. A BMW X1 of similar dimensions with a few extra upgrades costs more than twice as much, and considering that 40% of MG’s spare parts come from Germany (Bosch, Continental, etc.), I’d go for the MG ZS Hybrid without a second thought.
