When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

MG HS is a bit cheaper – starting at 30,000 £ , while the Nissan X-Trail costs 34,200 £ . That’s a price difference of around 4,166 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the MG HS uses 0.5 L/100km and is considerably more efficient than the Nissan X-Trail with 5.7 L/100km. The difference is about 5.2 L/100km.

I drive an Outback every day; I had an X‑Trail as a courtesy car while mine was in for service. First impression after a few kilometres of driving — the suspension is a disaster.
