Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

smart #5 is substantially cheaper – starting at 39,300 £ , while the Mercedes C-Class EQ costs 58,000 £ . That’s a price difference of around 18,696 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Mercedes C-Class EQ is visibly more efficient: consuming 14.3 kWh/100km compared to 18.4 kWh/100km for the smart #5. That’s a difference of about 4.1 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the Mercedes C-Class EQ offers clearly more range – reaching up to 753 km, about 163 km more than the smart #5.
