Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

Toyota Yaris is clearly cheaper – starting at 21,900 £ , while the Maxus eTERRON 9 costs 64,200 £ . That’s a price difference of around 42,392 £.

Engine and Performance:

Under the bonnet, it becomes clear which model is tuned for sportiness and which one takes the lead when you hit the accelerator.

When it comes to engine power, the Maxus eTERRON 9 offers visibly more power – delivering 442 HP compared to 280 HP. That’s roughly 162 HP more horsepower.

My Toyota Yaris Hybrid is perfect: small footprint yet a reasonable boot, fuel consumption between 3.2 and 3.9 l/100 km, very comfortable even for long distances. You can fault it for its mediocre uphill acceleration on the motorway. But with speed limits of 70 to 130 km/h, it still remains too powerful.
