Costs and Efficiency:

When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

Skoda Epiq is clearly cheaper – starting at 22,200 £ , while the XPeng G9 costs 51,100 £ . That’s a price difference of around 28,885 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Skoda Epiq is visibly more efficient: consuming 13.7 kWh/100km compared to 18.4 kWh/100km for the XPeng G9. That’s a difference of about 4.7 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the XPeng G9 offers noticeably more range – reaching up to 585 km, about 145 km more than the Skoda Epiq.

I drove the Mercedes EQS and the Xpeng G9 Performance. The Xpeng is an ultra-modern, voice-controlled car with excellent build quality, a superior sound system and air suspension. I now understand why VW invested €700 million to buy a 5% stake in Xpeng. VW cars in China now run on Xpeng technology.

I've seen and driven both cars. The XPeng 9 makes more of an impression. The Zeekr 7x's interior color is limited to black — a real shame! For a nicer contrast you'll have to have it wrapped in a different color. But that's a matter of taste! Otherwise the cars are comparable, noting that the XPeng is a proper SUV while the Zeekr 7x is a crossover.
