Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

BYD Sealion 7 is clearly cheaper – starting at 42,800 £ , while the BMW iX3 costs 60,800 £ . That’s a price difference of around 17,923 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the BMW iX3 is clearly more efficient: consuming 15.1 kWh/100km compared to 19.9 kWh/100km for the BYD Sealion 7. That’s a difference of about 4.8 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the BMW iX3 offers markedly more range – reaching up to 805 km, about 303 km more than the BYD Sealion 7.

range that I can always charge to 100% — unlike other brands that told me it was recommended to stop at 80%, which consequently cut my real range from 600 to 480 by not being able to charge to 100%. I think that's something people should know.
