Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

MG MG5 is visibly cheaper – starting at 30,400 £ , while the BYD Atto 3 costs 38,600 £ . That’s a price difference of around 8,142 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the BYD Atto 3 is marginally more efficient: consuming 16.4 kWh/100km compared to 17.5 kWh/100km for the MG MG5. That’s a difference of about 1.1 kWh/100km.
