Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

Ford Tourneo Connect is significantly cheaper – starting at 27,300 £ , while the XPeng G9 costs 51,100 £ . That’s a price difference of around 23,743 £.

As for electric range, the XPeng G9 offers significantly more range – reaching up to 585 km, about 466 km more than the Ford Tourneo Connect.

Engine and Performance:

Power, torque and acceleration are the classic benchmarks for car enthusiasts – and here, some clear differences start to show.

I drove the Mercedes EQS and the Xpeng G9 Performance. The Xpeng is an ultra-modern, voice-controlled car with excellent build quality, a superior sound system and air suspension. I now understand why VW invested €700 million to buy a 5% stake in Xpeng. VW cars in China now run on Xpeng technology.

I've seen and driven both cars. The XPeng 9 makes more of an impression. The Zeekr 7x's interior color is limited to black — a real shame! For a nicer contrast you'll have to have it wrapped in a different color. But that's a matter of taste! Otherwise the cars are comparable, noting that the XPeng is a proper SUV while the Zeekr 7x is a crossover.
