Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

MG MGS9 is significantly cheaper – starting at 38,600 £ , while the Mercedes GLE costs 78,900 £ . That’s a price difference of around 40,350 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the MG MGS9 uses 2.4 L/100km and is markedly more efficient than the Mercedes GLE with 3.2 L/100km. The difference is about 0.8 L/100km.

Mercedes is completely superior to Volvo, which feels plasticky and noisy with poor fit and finish, a poor tactile feel in the controls and a lack of buttons.
