Costs and Efficiency:

When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

BMW iX1 is moderately cheaper – starting at 42,300 £ , while the Mercedes GLC costs 50,300 £ . That’s a price difference of around 7,985 £.

As for electric range, the BMW iX1 offers considerably more range – reaching up to 514 km, about 386 km more than the Mercedes GLC.

Engine and Performance:

Power, torque and acceleration are the classic benchmarks for car enthusiasts – and here, some clear differences start to show.

I rented an ID4 and wasn’t satisfied with the driving quality and the fit and finish.
But above all, noises and drafts that are unacceptable in a car at this price.

Intuitive to operate, excellent tactile feel, high seating position. More range or a larger battery would be desirable, but that would be nitpicking at the highest level.

Delightful driver's car. Light-footed, quick, silent and sporty.
If the range could be improved, it would be absolutely top.
You do have to buy a few option packs to make it fun — expect to pay around 70 grand.
