Costs and Efficiency:

When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

BMW X3 is noticeably cheaper – starting at 51,300 £ , while the Volvo XC90 costs 69,800 £ . That’s a price difference of around 18,505 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the BMW X3 uses 2.8 L/100km and is noticeably more efficient than the Volvo XC90 with 3.5 L/100km. The difference is about 0.7 L/100km.

As for electric range, the BMW X3 offers a bit more range – reaching up to 88 km, about 17 km more than the Volvo XC90.

I drive both cars. The XC90’s boot is — contrary to the figures posted here — noticeably larger than the GLC’s when carrying five people. Overall the XC90 is clearly the more comfortable and, above all, the more stable — and therefore the safer — car.
