Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

Skoda Karoq is clearly cheaper – starting at 29,100 £ , while the BMW XM costs 116,100 £ . That’s a price difference of around 87,060 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the BMW XM uses 4.7 L/100km and is barely more efficient than the Skoda Karoq with 4.9 L/100km. The difference is about 0.2 L/100km.

Very comfortable touring car. The fit and finish are high-quality, practical and well thought-out. Very good driver-assistance systems. In the Sportline trim, the seats are super comfortable with plenty of room for all passengers. Large boot and easily foldable rear seatbacks to expand it. The suspension is tuned for comfort and overall very well balanced. The 150 hp engine runs well and on the highway at 130 km/h is fairly economical (6.3–6.5 liters). In city driving it needs more, however. The automatic shifts flawlessly. We are very satisfied with our Karoq.
